Hanging by A Thin Thread

There is an eerie feeling in knowing that our very civilization can be wiped out in an instant that few crazy people have the nerve to push that nuclear buttons. Not wiped out once actually, more than once, as our capacity to build them has increased very much significantly after Hiroshima.

So the only thing that make us spared so far is some sick game of deterrence, played by countries who possess the nuclear bombs. These are wasted energy and resources that could be used to embetter our race, human race. I know it is not original for me to say that I wish we humans realize just how similar we all are, and that we can do so much more as one.....................A wishful thinking, hopefully shared by everyone.

Extreme Ends of Infinity

I don't claim to be physicist, nor do I claim to be on the utmost of understanding of this universe. I do however, feel awe of two extremes in our lives. The infinity of the universe with its vast scale, and the seemingly infinity of the neutrinos, quarks, and whatever else is there.Sojourner already left its mark in Mars and other spacecraft by humans are now already traveling across solar system and beyond, with robots onboard. It was amazing to see the surface of another planet called Mars, Those pictures seem surreal, evoking a sense of wonder that boggles my mind. Can't wait to see when humans will set foot on those grounds. It is as if they are waiting for us to explore the planets.I have no doubt that the future of human civilization will be out there, amongst the stars. After all, we are composed of the starstuff, so it is only natural that we "return" to where we came from.

It is with great sadness for me to think that this future achievement will probably not occur in my life time, or we humans are moronic enough to destroy ourselves in our seconds here in the universe.

Simple Things

Why is it hard to quell the desire to have more? Judging from around me, more is what people want.
It is all around us, surrounds us, from mass advertising plastered on the walls, trains, it is overwhelming. It must be easy for people of Japan to forget the plight of those who are hunger in different parts of the world, when convenience is so pervasive.

Jikan Ga Nai

Time is fleeting, the only thing in this world that cannot be turned back. Its hands diligently traveling throughout, slicing our remaining existence in this world.Sometimes it feels like eternity, and yet, it feels like a second ago. Quite a trick that God has given to us. We all know that we live a losing life, if this is not filled with something meaningful.

Only one life to live, yet most often than not, we ignore this very fact.It is not the time to take things for granted. We must consciously be aware/grateful/watchful of how we pass time. Cherish our passing time with the loved ones, friends and even foes.

Faith...What Kind Do You Have?

Some said that having faith is better than not having faith. Why? Suppose heaven and hell does not exist, then at least you have lived your life in full, and nothing to to lose. However, should you choose to be a non believer, then should heaven and hell exist, then you have everything to lose....Some believes in instilling the idea of fear into the heart, so you fear hell and yearn for heaven constantly.

But perhaps the best is when we have faith because we truly believe in what we do, irregardless of fear, yearning, or because we need to have some sort of religion. This Fasting month, Ramadhan, marks the first time after many centuries, the coexistence of sun and moon enclipse in the same month. Another very rare astronomical events in humans life. Some believes this will bring the One, who will guide all mankind to its end journey, and bring salvation to us all.

It could be just another celestial events which brings wonder once again, after the Mars sighting.....whatever it is, have your faith............

Predetermination and On Fate

A still very perplexing subject to understand.....When you want something so bad in life that you put an all out effort to get it, and when you do achieve it, does it mean that your fate lies in that path and has been predetermined to be given to you? Some call it running from one predetermined path to another.

Others say there is no such thing as predetermination, while the contrary to that is that there is no escape from predetermination!Perhaps the best way to understand this matter is by not thinking too much about it...Perhaps what is more important is how we make our life more meaningful to others. Perhaps, I have been looking at problems unworthy of being discussed too much.......

To Those Who Are Dear to Us

Are we capable of being selfless as humans? A selfless person will not require something in return when providing his/her service to others. This person conduct deeds because it is something that is right. How novel idea, but the demon of ego is hard to contain. Have we contemplate in our life what sort of selfless act we have committed which we do not think of a return?

I have however met those who fulfill these criterias, and it is a truly wonderful experience. These are people who are dear to us and others, a joy to be with.
Strive to be one, a simple act in everyday life. No harm, only warmth will come out of it.............Thanks to those who are dear to us

Clear Night, Half Moon

Celestial events should inspire us, but it appears that those who live in the city fails to see this, for whatever reasons. It could be all the lights preventing us from seeing the greatness over us, or the pollution.I think feelings of insignificants as humans should be instilled more often than we should. Otherwise, we turn arrogant, which I think true for most of us. Arrogancy does not have to be said, but thought as well. Thoughts of feeling better than others. Thoughts of we are the best and others are less, or even more.....evil. You are with us or you are them.
It is inconceivable to me sometimes to see human beings, including myself, walking around in this world and not even think a slightest idea of our existence70 quintillion heavenly bodies, or so the scientists said. And here we are, all gathered in a blue ball called earth. Galaxy size means that we exists for only a fraction of seconds.....humble should really be the name of the game for us.....Observation from seeing Mars and Moon together, unobstructed

Mass of People

Tokyo is a mass of sea of people. It's amazing how we all move like ants, day after day after day, to do whatever we do. And then we retreat to our boxes to return to the same routine. It makes you really wonder what we are all here for. Sometimes I only see human shells, without souls that usually follow within. Men and women (sometimes including me perhaps) packed in "densha", with ghastly, empty eyes. Sometimes you see people who are smiling listening to music from their walkman, people constantly playing with their mobile, or just plain tired and fall asleep as soon as they sit down....or even sleep while standing. The view outside is a jumble of concrete as far as your eyes can see. The only relief I found is the patches of green scattered over, with the sound of summer bug, "semi". It is really relaxing to hear those bugs make their noise, something I can connect myself to nature.........Observation from Tokyo living

Tawasin Thoughts from Mansur Al Hallaj

Here is my first attempt at writing blogs!!It's 5 AM in Japan now. Started to read articles on Mansur Al Hallaj, but was too difficult to understand. I wonder what went through his mind when he wrote the Tawasin. It makes me think how is it that some people appeared to be destined for greatness, while others join the mass rank of being "average". Why some people have a complete and unflinching conviction to the things that they do?I choose to be this person actually, as I believe we all live with a purpose. But my challenge is more on finding what exactly my purpose is!Observation from reading Tawasin on the Internet. One of the most difficult writings I have ever read!
