Sustaining Power to Not Take Things for Granted

This conversation again resides around faith, a simple topic to say but highly difficult to implement. Realize this, we as humans are in dire right now. We are at the age of civilization where advances that we have done in this century creates a hollowing effect into our very own precious posession.....soul.

For those of us who embraces religious institutions, you would understand what I am referring to here. For Muslims, how many of us realize that the word "There is no God but Allah", at one point in time, could have led to persecution and even.....death? I suppose the same goes for Christians, where believing in Jesus once could have meant that persecution and death will follow as well? What do these words of faith now ring in our souls? Do we even care that these words carry a very heavy implications? I, for one, feel that we are losing it. As REM calls it, we are losing our own religion or worse, faith...I would like to see someone to prove me wrong here, but I am under the impression that most of us now live with empty and hollow souls.

All the advances in information (news media outlets, or hey, maybe even this blog!), yet they are filled mostly with mindless chatters that only make you feel emptier. OK, so you might ask then, what's new and what are you going to do about it? Well, this is something of a reminder, to all of us to at least wake up from our slumber. Life is more than just dealing with your work, or enjoy the company of your wife and children, or toying around on things that are irrelevant to the enrichment of our soul. We need to feed our souls, as often as we feed our physical self. If we can't, then let's try our best to enrich it as much as our common lives can afford it.

For instance, there are jewels amongst piles of dungs on the internet that we can research. Rent good and meaningful movies to compensate for ones that are meaningless. Well, I am not here to preach, so I am sure we all know what to do :)
