Did You Notice The Odor in The Air?

Not flatulence, of course :) I am referring to smell/odor when you just stepped off the airplane and land somewhere, in a new place. I don't know about you, but I find the experience to be quite interesting.Nose is a very precious thing, of course without trying to undermine the other body parts or the senses. But essentially, our tongue recognizes only 4 tastes. All that experience when you eat that enhance your tastes, it is because of your nose.

The smell of food plays trick when it touches your nose senses, creating extra culinary experience which could be wonderful. I said could be, since it could also be that the food does not taste good, hehehhe.I know you may find it strange, but smell is the first thing I try to sense when I stepped off the airplane. It is almost like a representation of what the country is. Some places you visit, an odor of garbage wafts through the air and you get a sense that this place represents an unpleasant situation. Other times, you can smell salt on the air, with a cool breeze and strong sun. The powerful combination evokes a certain well being about the place. However, it is also strange that after a while, say...give it 1 hour top, you would somehow get yourself familiar with the smell and forget about it.

I have a confession to make here though, my nose has not been working properly these days :( Between flu and allergies, I have not been able to really taste what a good smelling food is, thus relying heavily on my tongue. One pleasure that has been taken away from me, well, at least I still have my tongue to enjoy food.
