What Is It Like?

From time to time, some of my Japanese colleagues asked me what it is like to live in Japan. I guess they were hoping too much of good answers from me about living in Japan and became disappointed when I told them, "well, what matters most is being able to live with someone that I care, where ever that might be".

Of course, there are many things to like about Japan, such as cleanliness (almost to the point of obsessive to me, somehow), how discipline people are, organized and timely manners things are done, etc., but at the end of the day, that does not really mean too much now, is it?

I have been very fortunate to be able to experience living in different parts of the world until now, it has made it less relevant to me now where I should spend my life. The question is not where, but who do I live with and what I would do to sacrifice being with the person who is important for me.

Then again, there are places on this planet that you would not prefer to live obviously, so let's use some common sense when you do reading on the above :) With this, I hope that where ever you are, you can live with your loved ones!
