Earth's Rhythm
I went for a bit of nature this weekend, walking along the path in Hakone region. I have re-discovered the joy of listening to Earth's rhythm in this place (can't even remember when I did it last time). How can you do it? It is very simple, yet I think the result is quite refreshing, to say the least.
So go forth and seek a quiet place somewhere on this planet, get a comfortable and relaxing position, be it laying low or just sitting anywhere and close your eyes. Immerse yourself with the surrounding and just listen to the sounds that your ears can feast upon. Notice....there is a low humming sound in the background, always there, as if the earth has an engine that keeps her factory running. Be mindful as well of various sounds of birds, wind against the tree leaves or waves of water rushing to the shore, if you were on the beach. Do it for at least five minutes, or as long as you wish for that matter. If you are not moved by this, you might want to search your soul and find out what is wrong with you :)
One very good moment in movie that best reflect this was when I saw Phenomenon, where John Travolta close his eyes and he was leaning back and forth listening to the movement of the tree. I think that is why I love the song Change the World by Eric Clapton, as it reminded me of that scene.
OK, I hope you will find the time to do what I did and please share with me your experience!
