Organized Chaos

Have you ever seen fractal images? It is one of the most amazing thing that I have ever seen. Seemingly random images that, if you look in a much larger pattern, turns out to be highly organized. Just like golden number that I have written, fractal is also very common in nature and also in human life.

Here is a case in point. I have started to take up lessons in technical analysis on stocks or commodities recently and found out that price movement of a stock or commodities have an eerie predictability to them. What I meant is, what seems to be random price movement have a distinct pattern after all. What is even more amazing is that these patterns are repeating over and over, without fail! For those of you who are interested, there is a book on Elliott Wave which gives a really interesting insight into this.

There is this verse in Qur'an (I forgot unfortunately) which mentions that everything is created with the proper proportion. From the example above, I find it quite amazing that it is exactly the case. Nothing is created out of randomness, it is as if God is the Ultimate Mathematician :)
