On Tool Dependencies
Ever since man (or woman) decided to use the first tool, we have but make ourselves dependent on it so much. So much so that there is not a single day that we can live through without using some kind of tools to make our lives easier. I don't think I am going to give too many examples, just to name a few, how many of us go to work using vehicles (car, becak, motorcycles, etc.)? Can you think of going to work without using these tools.
We love the idea that we can somehow control these tools to our purpose, but I cannot help but thinking......well, what would happen if at the end, our dependency to the tools will actually make them control us?
I do not know where the next evolution will lead us to, but if there were one, I would love to see one where we do not depend on tools anymore, where we can free ourselves from the confine of our artificial limbs, extension of our body. I know it is a weird rambling, but I am talking about humans as an idea, beyond our physicalities. Hmm....I guess we will reach this...when we die :P
